West Indies bowler Shannon Gabriel announces retirement

 West Indies fast bowler Shannon Gabriel announced his retirement from international cricket on Wednesday. He was out of the team for a long time. He played the last international match of his career in July 2023. At the same time, he has not got a place in the ODI team since 2019 and the T20 international team since 2013. He informed about his retirement through social media.

"For the last 12 years I have dedicated myself to playing international cricket for the West Indies. I have had immense joy playing this beloved game at the highest level. As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. Today I am announcing my retirement from international cricket," Gabriel wrote on social media on Wednesday.

Shannon Gabriel has retired only from international cricket and he himself admitted that he will continue to represent the Trinidad and Tobago team in club and franchise cricket played around the world.
