The squads of all 3 teams have been finalised for the Women's Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) 2024. The players' draft for the upcoming edition took place on Tuesday, July 16. Defending champions Barbados Royals have strengthened their squad by adding Sri Lanka's Chamari Athapaththu, one of the finest strikers of the ball in the women's game.
Ahead of the draft, they also signed stylish left-handed batter Georgia Redmayne. Hayley Matthews, Afy Fletcher, Amanda Jade Wellington and Laura Harris are some of their key players. Trinbago Knight Riders have a strong squad after signing the quartet of Jemimah Rodrigues, Meg Lanning, Shikha Pandey and Jess Jonassen.
The WCPL 2024 will begin on August 21 with a match between the Royals and Amazon Warriors at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad.
