Royal Enfield has launched the new roadster bike Guerilla 450. In an event held in Barcelona, Spain, the company has introduced it for the European market including India. The bike is equipped with features like smartphone connectivity, Google Maps integration and 4-inch TFT display with media control. Royal Enfield Guerilla 450 has been introduced with three variants and five color options.
The starting ex-showroom price of Guerilla 450 in India has been kept at Rs 2.39 lakh, which goes up to Rs 2.54 lakh (ex-showroom) in the top variant. This roadster bike will be available for sale in Indian showrooms from August 1. After this, it will be sold in Europe in mid-August. In India, it will compete with Triumph 400, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and Honda CB300R.
Royal Enfield Guerilla 450: Performance
The new Guerilla 450 is powered by a 452cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder Sherpa engine that generates 40hp of power at 8,000rpm and 40Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. Royal Enfield has re-tuned the engine to deliver better low-end torque.
The company claims that more than 85% of the torque is available starting at 3000rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slip clutch. The bike gets two ride modes - Performance and Eco.
Royal Enfield Guerilla 450: Design
Talking about the design, according to Royal Enfield, the Guerilla is a versatile motorcycle, designed to run slowly to deal with traffic, maintain balance on turns and run at high speed on the highway. Its front design is inspired by the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, while the tail section is like the Himalayan 450.
Like the Himalayan 450, the Guerilla 450 is designed on a steel tubular frame. It has an LED retro round headlight, LED tail light with integrated indicators and a single seat. The Guerilla has an 11-liter fuel tank, LED retro round headlight, LED tail light with integrated indicators and a single seat.
For comfortable riding, the bike has 43mm telescopic front forks with 140mm travel and rear monoshock suspension with 150mm travel. For braking, it gets 310mm front ventilated disc brake and 270mm rear disc brake with dual-channel ABS. The bike runs on alloy wheels. Its front wheel gets a 120/70-17 section tire and the rear wheel gets a 160/60-17 section tire.

Talking about features, the top-end variant gets a 4-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, Google Maps integration and media controls. The lower-spec Guerilla 450 gets a semi-digital instrument console, which can be used with the Tripper navigation pod. The roadster also gets a USB-C charging port and riding modes.
