County Cricket, Pujara Scored 3 Double Centuries In 10 Innings For Sussex, Pujara became the first player in history to do so in 118 years

Cheteshwar Pujaras stellar performance in county cricket continues. Pujara, who scored runs for Sussex this season, scored a double century in the very first match of his captaincy in county cricket. This is his fifth century in seven county matches. He has scored three double hundreds in 10 innings this season for Sussex. Apart from this, he has also played innings of 170 and 109 runs this season. He is the first batsman in 118 years to score three double hundreds in a season for Sussex.
Cheteshwar Pujara Creates History
Pujara scored 231 runs in 403 balls against Middlesex in the Division-2 County Match at Lords. He hit a total of 21 fours and three sixes. Thanks to this innings of Pujara, Sussex posted a mammoth total of 523 runs against Middlesex. Pujara was the last batsman to be dismissed for his team. At the end of the first days play, Pujara was playing on 115 runs. He shared a 219-run partnership with Tom Alsop (135) for the third wicket.

Pujara is the fourth Sussex batsman to score a double century at Lords. Before him, this feat was done by KS Ranjit Singh Ji. He scored 260 runs against MCC on 13 May 1897. However, despite playing the follow-on, MCC won the match by 46 runs. Pujara has scored a double century at Lords for Sussex after 125 years.
Cheteshwar Pujaras performance in County Championship
Cheteshwar Pujar has scored five centuries for Sussex this season. He first scored an unbeaten 201 against Derbyshire. He then played an innings of 109 against Worcestershire. He scored 203 against Durham and scored an unbeaten 170 against Middlesex. Now Pujara has scored 231 runs against Middlesex itself.

Pujara has been named the interim captain of Sussex after Tom Haynes injury. Earlier he had scored 203 not out against Durham and 201 against Derbyshire. Umesh Yadav also played for Middlesex in this match but he did not get any wickets.
Cheteshwar Pujara in test Cricket
Pujara was dropped from the Indian team for the Test series against Sri Lanka due to poor form. He then performed exceptionally well in county cricket and returned to the team for a Test against England. He could not do anything special in the first innings of this match, but in the second innings he got a brilliant half-century and he was the highest run-scorer for India. However, India had to face defeat in this match.
