Pro Kabaddi League organisers Mashal Sports on Wednesday announced that the 12th season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) will begin on Friday, August 29. After the success of eleven thrilling seasons, PKL is set to enter an exciting new chapter. PKL 12 will see defending champions Haryana Steelers return to defend the title after a stunning win in Season 11. The competitive balance of the league reflects the unpredictability that has made PKL one of India's most thrilling sporting events.

The player auction for the much-awaited Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 took place on May 31 and June 1 in Mumbai, where a record-breaking 10 players bagged contracts worth over Rs 1 crore, setting a new benchmark for the competition.
Under the aegis and approval of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI), Mashal Sports and Jiostar have built PKL into one of the most successful sports leagues in India. The Pro Kabaddi League has given a new dimension to India's indigenous sport of Kabaddi and its athletes on the national and global platform.
