While he led Team India to a comfortable 2-0 win over New Zealand, Bishan Singh Bedi and his team suffered three defeats during the five-match series against England in late 1976 and early 1977. Overall, Bishan's captaincy in Indian conditions included three wins, three losses and two draws in eight matches.
