India's left-arm fast bowler Barinder Sran has retired from international cricket. 31-year-old Sran made his debut for India in 2016. This year, he played 6 ODIs and 2 T20 matches for India between January and June. Since then, he did not get a chance in the Indian team. Sran wrote on Instagram, I am officially retiring from cricket. I want to thank everyone for my journey. Sran also played 24 IPL matches for Hyderabad, Mumbai, Rajasthan and Punjab.

Barinder saw an advertisement of Kings XI Punjab team. In which the team had called young players for trials. He was not selected in the trials, but he continued playing cricket. Earlier he used to take boxing training at Bhiwani Boxing Club in Haryana. Even after failing in the trials, Saran continued playing cricket. Earlier he used to play cricket with a tennis ball, but from here he participated in the Kings Cup. After a few months, he joined the top-40 uncapped players of Punjab. In the 2015 IPL auction, he was again bought by Rajasthan Royals.

Sran made his debut in the 2016 IPL. Sran did not get many opportunities, but after playing only 8 List-A matches for Punjab, he got a chance in Team India. He made his ODI debut against Australia in January. Under Dhoni's captaincy, he also took 3 wickets for 56 runs in Perth. After this, Sran was selected for the Zimbabwe tour, where he made his T20 debut in July and played 2 matches. Since 2011, Sran has played 18 first class matches, 31 List-A matches and 48 T20 matches for Punjab. Sran has not played any domestic match after 2021. In the IPL, he got a place in the teams of Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians. He has also been a net bowler for Gujarat Titans. After retirement, he can now become a part of the Legends Cricket League
