Former South African player and former Pakistan coach Morne Morkel is in the race to become India's bowling coach. Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir wants Morkel to become India's bowling coach.
According to a Cricbuzz report, Sever has requested the Board of Control for in India (BCCI) to consider Morkel for the post of bowling coach. According to the report, there has been some discussion with Morkel.
Gambhir and Morkel have worked together at Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Gambhir has been the mentor of Lucknow for 2 years, while Morkel is still the bowling coach.
