Time taken by teams to register their first Test win
Ireland won the Test for the first time: Ireland created history by defeating Afghanistan by six wickets in the only Test played in Dubai. Ireland recorded their first win in Test cricket on the third day of the one-off Test on Saturday. Ireland are now the fourth fastest team in terms of matches taken to their first Test win in 147 years of Test history.

Talking about the first Test win, Australia achieved it in the shortest time. In the first match, it defeated England in 4 days. The name of Pakistan comes at number two. The team that came to play the first series with India on 16 October 1952, won the second match. By doing this feat in 11 days, Pakistan became the second fastest team in the list to achieve its first Test win.
The England team got its first win on the 21st day of playing its Test. It took 1 year and 248 days for West Indies to achieve their first Test win. Zimbabwe achieved its first Test victory after taking 2 years and 17 days. Sri Lanka had achieved this feat in 3 years 208 while Bangladesh team had achieved this feat in 4 years 62 days.

Ireland has made a place in the list by achieving its first Test win in 5 years and 294 days. The South African team had tasted victory for the first time in this format in 16 years and 299 days. It took 19 years and 231 days for India to win its first victory (India's first test win) while New Zealand won the Test match for the first time after a wait of 26 years.
