AUS vs WI T20I Series 2024: Full schedule, squads, and all you need to know
AUS vs WI T20I Series: The first T20 against West Indies will be played on 9 February, the second T20 on 11 February and the third T20 on 13 February. After this the Australian team will go on New Zealand tour. This series, to be held in Wellington and Auckland from 21 to 25 February, will be Australia's last T20 series before the T20 World Cup.
Despite being found Covid-19 positive, Mitchell Marsh will be seen playing in the first match of the three-match T20 International series against West Indies at Bellerive Oval, Hobart. However, he will take full care of isolation during the match. He will captain while staying away from the players.
Mitchell Marsh will lead the team despite being Covid positive
Due to Corona, Marsh will have to follow the protocols of Cricket Australia. They will have a separate dressing room and will have to maintain distance from other players while on the field. All-rounder Cameron Green and wicketkeeper-batsman Josh Inglis both recently played for Australia despite testing positive for Covid. Head coach Andrew McDonald was also exposed to the virus.
Australia's T20 captain Mitchell Marsh has tested positive for COVID-19, but as per CA's protocols, he will also play in the first T20 against West Indies starting tomorrow in Hobart. Marsh will use a separate dressing room during the match and will maintain distance from the players while on the field.
Earlier this week, Marsh was also made the captain of the T20 team for the three-match series against New Zealand. The series between Australia and New Zealand will be played in February. Before that, Marsh will also captain against West Indies. Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Travis Head and Steve Smith have returned to the Australian team for the T20 series against New Zealand.
