Ben Stokes records England highest ODI score with 182 runs against New Zealand
England all-rounder Ben Stokes missed scoring a double century in ODI cricket. He played an inning of 182 runs against New Zealand at The Oval ground in London. In this innings he hit 15 fours and 9 sixes. This is the highest individual score in England's ODI history. Before Stokes, Jason Roy had scored 180 runs against Australia in 2018.
New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl first at the Kennington Oval ground in London. Batting first, the England team was all out after scoring 368 runs in 48.1 overs. Trent Boult took 5 wickets from New Zealand. In reply, the New Zealand team collapsed after scoring 187 runs and lost the match by 181 runs. England is leading 2-1 in the 4-match series. The fourth ODI will be played on 15 September.
