After the end of the World Test Championship, the Indian team will now tour the West Indies. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule of this tour. Team India will play two Tests, three ODIs and five T20s on the Windies tour. The Windies tour will also mark the start of India's next World Test Championship cycle. Along with this, Team India will have a chance to prepare for the ODI World Cup.

From July 12, the two-match Test series between India and West Indies will begin in Dominica. The second Test will be played in Trinidad from 20 July. At the same time, the three-match ODI series will start on 27 July. The first and second ODIs (July 29) will be played in Barbados, while the third ODI will be played in Trinidad on August 1.

India last toured the West Indies for an all-format series in the year 2019, and during this time they won all the series. However, last year both the teams played a limited overs series which was won by the Indian team. Meanwhile, India's tour of the West Indies will begin with a two-match Test series, marking the beginning of the 2023-2025 ICC World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.

According to media reports, the selection committee under the leadership of Shiv Sunder Das has started searching for the next generation of players. A completely new team can be sent for the T20 series. In these, some players who have performed brilliantly in IPL can also be included. Players like Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma can get a chance in the T20 team.
