Temperature of Moon south pole measured for the first time

Thanks to India's Chandrayaan-3 mission, for the first time the temperature of the Moon's south pole has been detected. The Chandra Surface Thermophysical Experiment (CHEST), a payload mounted on the lander Vikram, had sent a profile graph of the lunar surface temperature. It shows the change in temperature with increase in depth. Temperatures at the surface generally ranged between 50-60 degrees centigrade, while the maximum temperature at the South Pole is 70 degrees centigrade.

Pragyan confirmed the presence of sulfur in the moon region

While giving information about Mission Chandrayaan-3, ISRO had said that after the tests, the presence of sulfur in the south pole region of the Moon has been confirmed.
