For the next five years, Afghanistan will play its home matches in the UAE. An agreement has been signed in this regard between Afghanistan Cricket Board and Emirates Cricket Board. According to the contract, during this period, Afghanistan will have to play a series of three T20 matches with UAE every year.

According to a statement from the ACB, the ECB will provide all necessary support during this period including visa assistance, and office space.

Earlier, ACB had also entered into an agreement with BCCI in 2015 which allowed them to host their home matches in Greater Noida, on the outskirts of Delhi.
